Gender Clubs

What is a Gender Club?

Gender clubs are a means of reducing the number of out of school children as the traditional classroom discourages discussions of lifeskills and sexual development. The gender club concept takes youth out of the classroom and promotes concepts of human rights, empowerment through education and career planning.

Our family of Gender Clubs continues to grow. Our most recent Gender Club was just initiated at the Good Shepherd School in Uganda. We welcome you to our family of clubs.

If you are interested in forming a Gender Club, please contact for further information.

Gender Inclusive Learning and Gender Clubs are supported by the US Embassy, US Department of State Education and Cultural Affairs, and imiplemented by IREX.
